There is growing demand for mobile phone and smartphone autofocus camera mechanisms that save space and ensure high-quality images. Alps' VCM actuators come with exterior designs to match individual needs for compact size and low profile. Mounting of large-diameter lenses is also supported. Proprietary mechanical design and design simulation technologies have been used to satisfy contradicting requirements— compatibility with lenses with larger diameters, as needed to ensure high-quality images, and compactness, for improving mounting ease. Alps vigorously pursues improvements to the operating precision of mechanisms. Production using automatic machines minimizes variations to ensure delivery of products with consistent quality.

HAPTIC™ Reactor Vibrational Feedback Device

The HAPTIC™ Reactor Hybrid Tough Type is a vibrational feedback device with two axes of vibrational freedom.
Compared to existing single-axis vibrational devices, which vibrate only in a monotonous fashion, this product has
high vibrational freedom, enabling very realistic recreation of sensations even with complex waveforms.
And because there are two resonance points, touch sensations can be felt from a wide range of frequencies.
Vibration response time, too, is very quick, under 1ms. Fulfilling requirements for recreation of diverse vibrations
for game console and VR machine controllers, this product brings together some of Alps' unique technology including
precision processing, magnetic design and electrical design expertise.
