About the Company
1948
In November of 1948, the Company was established under the name of Kataoka Electric Co., Ltd., in Yukigayaotsukamachi, Ota-ku, Tokyo, with 500,000 yen in capital and a total staff of 23 people. Following that, in December of 1964, the Company name was changed to Alps Electric Co., Ltd.
In May of 1967, Alps Motorola Inc. (the current Alpine Electronics Inc.) was established.
And then in January of 2019, Alps Electric and Alpine integrated their businesses to give birth to Alps Alpine Co., Ltd.

With the reelection of directors held in June, the ratio of independent outside directors has exceeded 50%.
At the meeting of the board of directors, in addition to deliberating and making decisions on important matters related to management, executive directors are entrusted with making decisions on important business execution matters. Also, the board of directors is positioned as an organization that inspects and supervises the situation of business execution, and that endeavors to strengthen the monitoring function.

In fiscal 2022, we newly installed photovoltaic power generation equipment, in particular at our locations in China, thus bringing our energy generating capacity to 9 MW on a global level.
Also, particularly at our bases located overseas, our supply of electric power derived from renewable energy sources has increased. In addition, we have made progress with the use of renewable energy certificates, and our production base in Europe has achieved 100% renewable energy use. Going forward, we are aiming to raise the renewable energy usage rate to 60% throughout the group in 2024, and to switch to renewable energy for 100% of the energy we use in our business operations by 2030.
